Colbert is a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers' regional Customs and International Trade practice in Asia Pacific. Since 1997, he built up customs teams in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen to serve investors and MNC clients on all customs related issues, particularly entry / exit and transfer pricing issues. He is now based out of Hong Kong to provide oversight on practice for Asia Pacific region.
Colbert has had many years of hands on experience dealing with China customs valuation issues and has achieved significant results for his clients through arbitration processes to reach some respectable settlement with the Customs authority. He is expert in assisting clients in customs audits or multiple site compliance reviews throughout Asia Pacific region. He is an expert on luxury goods, particularly setting efficient supply chains through regional headquarter.
Prior to joining PwC, he spent 5 years with Canada Customs performing verification tasks according to North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). He was a public accountant and auditor in Toronto, fluent (both written and spoken) in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. |
